<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Biography">Biography</span></h2>
<p>Bureta received her <a href="/J.D." class="mw-redirect" title="J.D.">J.D.</a> from Willamette University College of Law in 2003. She worked as a Deputy District Attorney for the Marion County District Attorney’s Office for over a decade until transitioning to the Civil Enforcement Division of the Oregon Department of Justice in 2014. In March 2020, she began to work as a full-time judge pro tem and hearings referee for the <a href="/Oregon_3rd_Judicial_District" title="Oregon 3rd Judicial District">Marion County Circuit Court</a> until her appointment to the court.<sup id="cite_ref-appt_1-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-appt-1">[1]</a></sup>
