Hon. Michael J. Rushton

Michael J. Rushton has served as a judge of the Superior Court of Riverside County, California, since 2009. A graduate of Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree and of the University of California Hastings College of Law with a J.D., he began his legal career as a deputy district attorney before ascending to the bench. Judge Rushton has been re-elected in 2008, 2014, and 2020, the latter by default when the election was canceled. His tenure on the court is set to conclude on January 4, 2027.
