Hon. Patrick W. Stanton

Patrick W. Stanton is a probate and family court associate justice serving the Plymouth Probate and Family Court in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He was nominated by former Governor Deval Patrick on February 22, 2012, and confirmed by the Governor's Council in March 2012. Stanton has a long record of legal service, having practiced solo from 1994 until his judicial appointment in 2012 and previously serving as a license commissioner for the City of Brockton, Massachusetts, from 1997 to 2003. He earned an A.A. from Massasoit Community College in 1987, a bachelor's degree from Stonehill College in 1990, and a J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law in 1993. His practice areas include probate and family law, and he is eligible to serve until the mandatory retirement age of 70.
