Beth A. Crawford is the first justice of the Franklin Probate and Family Court in Franklin County, Massachusetts. She was appointed to the court by former Governor Deval Patrick on February 7, 2012, and may serve until she reaches the mandatory retirement age of 70. Prior to her judicial appointment, Crawford served as an assistant judicial case manager at the Franklin Probate and Family Court from 2004 to 2012. She also worked as an attorney in private practice and in the Department of Revenue’s child support enforcement unit. Crawford earned her undergraduate degree from Kenyon College and her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois. Her appointment as a probate and family court judge marks a significant milestone in her legal career.
