Judge Amy Tucker is a highly experienced legal professional with over 20 years of courtroom experience, particularly in child welfare cases. She was unanimously appointed as the Presiding Judge of County Court at Law No. 3 in Montgomery County, Texas, on July 1, 2021. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Associate Judge for the same court for over 8 years. Judge Tucker is one of only 47 Texas attorneys double Board Certified in Family Law and Child Welfare Law. She has participated in over 5,000 CPS hearings and has never been reversed on appeal. Her judicial philosophy is textualist, and she is deeply committed to improving outcomes for children in foster care.
