Larry R. Blanton is a former circuit court judge who served Orange County, Indiana, from his appointment in 1997 until his defeat in the 2016 general election. Prior to his judicial career, Blanton worked as a teacher and coach at Mitchell Junior High School from 1969 to 1974, and later held a management position in the clock division of Cornwell Co. in Paoli. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Campbellsville University, an M.P.A. from Western Kentucky University, and a J.D. from the University of Louisville.
