Hon. Harry L. Jacobs

Harry L. Jacobs is a judge serving on the Superior Court of Merced County, California. He was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown on December 27, 2012, and has held the position continuously through the present term, which expires in 2021. Prior to his judgeship, Jacobs served as a Superior Court commissioner for the Merced County Superior Court from 2000 to 2011, and as a supervising deputy public defender for the Merced County Public Defender's Office from 1989 to 2000. Earlier in his career, he practiced privately as a lawyer with Jacobs and Saude, Attorneys at Law, from 1980 to 1989. Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of San Francisco and a Juris Doctor from Abraham Lincoln University Law School.
