Hon. Shelia R. Johnson

Shelia Johnson is a seasoned Michigan jurist who has served as a judge on the 46th District Court since 2001. A Dartmouth College alumna and University of Michigan Law School graduate, Johnson has a distinguished career spanning over three decades in private practice and the judiciary. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Mattie Belle Davis Award from the National Association of Women Judges and the Powerful Woman of Purpose Award from the Rhonda Walker Foundation. Johnson is a member of several professional associations, such as the National Bar Association and the Michigan District Judges Association, and has been rated "Well Qualified" by the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. Her commitment to access to justice, technology, and community outreach has guided her judicial philosophy.
