Skocelas</b> is a <a href="/Michigan_District_Courts" title="Michigan District Courts">district court</a> judge for the <a href="/Michigan_Fifty-seventh_Judicial_District_Court" title="Michigan Fifty-seventh Judicial District Court">57th District Court</a> in <a href="/Michigan" title="Michigan">Michigan</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1">[1]</a></sup> He was appointed to the bench on April 26, 2006, by former Governor <a href="/Jennifer_Granholm" title="Jennifer Granholm">Jennifer Granholm</a> to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Gary A.
