Hon. F. Gates Peed

Judge F. Gates Peed served as a Superior Court Judge in the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit for 23 years, culminating in his appointment as Chief Judge in 2018. His judicial career began as Solicitor General and State Court Judge in Bulloch County before moving to the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit. He retired from active service at the end of 2024 but continues to serve as a Senior Superior Court Judge. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 1976 and a Juris Doctor from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 1982.
