Hon. Spero Pines

Spero Pines has served as a judge on the Broome County Family Court in New York since his election in 1993, with his current term expiring in 2023. He began his legal career in 1977 as a private practice lawyer in Binghamton, a role he held until his election to the family court in 1994. Pines earned a B.A. from Harpur College at Binghamton University in 1973 and a J.D. from Oklahoma City University in 1976. As a family court judge, he presides over matters involving family law, including divorce, child custody, and related civil disputes. He was re-elected unopposed in 2013 and has continued to serve the community with dedication and impartiality.
