Kari Cecilie Kristiansen is a judge of the Alaska Third District Superior Court, appointed in 2006 by Governor Frank Murkowski and retained in subsequent elections. She earned a B.S. in engineering from Northwestern University in 1986 and a J.D. from Willamette University in 1989. Her legal career spans roles in criminal law in Honolulu, law clerk positions in Colorado and Oregon, and extensive experience in construction, public housing, contract, tort defense, collections, child in need of aid, insurance defense, real estate, personal injury, and nonprofit law within the State of Alaska's Department of Law. She has served as a judge in the Third Judicial District since 2006 and continues to preside over cases in Palmer, Alaska.
