Jean-Paul 'J.P.' Boulee is a U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Georgia, born in January 1971 in Kankakee, Illinois. He earned his B.A. from Washington & Lee University and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. Boulee served in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps and later became a partner at Jones Day. He was appointed to the DeKalb County Superior Court in 2015, where he founded the DeKalb County Veterans Treatment Court. He was nominated by President Donald Trump and confirmed by the Senate on June 12, 2019. Boulee has handled significant cases, including presiding over a trial related to Georgia's election integrity law, where he ruled against granting a preliminary injunction.
