Hon. Stacey K. Hydrick

Judge Stacey K. Hydrick was appointed to the DeKalb County State Court by Governor Nathan Deal in April 2011 and later to the DeKalb County Superior Court by Governor Kemp. She has an extensive background in both private practice and public service, including roles as an Assistant District Attorney and Assistant Attorney General. Before her judicial appointments, she worked as an insurance defense attorney. Judge Hydrick has served nearly a decade as a judge in DeKalb County, presiding over various civil and criminal cases, including personal injury and public corruption cases. She holds a J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in English from Emory University. Judge Hydrick is actively involved in several bar-related and community organizations. Matt McCoyd is a Magistrate Judge in DeKalb County with a background as a senior assistant district attorney, primarily in the White Collar Crime Unit, and an instructor at Emory University School of Law. Mathew M. McCoy is a partner at McCorkle, Johnson & McCoy, LLP, focusing on construction and real estate litigation. Judge Stacey Hydrick has also served as a Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney for the Fulton County District Attorney's Office before transitioning to her current judicial roles. Her professional affiliations include the DeKalb Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia. Additionally, she is recognized in various Rising Stars directories.
