Hon. T. Penn McWhorter

The Honorable T. Penn McWhorter was born in Winder, Georgia, on January 15, 1934. He attended Emory at Oxford, Emory University, and the University of Georgia School of Law. Before becoming a judge, he practiced law for 26 years, serving as City Attorney for Winder and Statham. In 1986, he was appointed as a Superior Court Judge for the Piedmont Judicial Circuit, serving for 20 years. He later served as a Senior Judge until 2017. McWhorter was deeply involved in his community, serving in various roles such as president of the Winder Jaycees and Kiwanis Club.
