John Maurer is a judge on Michigan's 56th Circuit Court, appointed by Governor Rick Snyder on May 2, 2016. He earned a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in 1985 and a J.D. from Cooley Law School in 1988. Maurer spent two decades at the law firm Deming & Maurer before serving as a prosecutor in the Clinton County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in 2015.
