Hon. Allan D. Hardcastle

Allan D. Hardcastle served as a judge on the Superior Court of Sonoma County, California, from his appointment by Governor Pete Wilson in 1997 until his retirement in 2021. A University of the Pacific alumnus, he earned his bachelor's degree in 1977 and his J.D. from the McGeorge School of Law in 1979. Prior to his judicial tenure, Hardcastle was a managing partner at the civil litigation firm Babin, Seeger and Hardcastle. He also served as President of the California Judges Association during the 2012-2013 term. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired as a lieutenant colonel in 2002 after 23 years of service. Hardcastle’s career reflects a commitment to civil litigation, judicial leadership, and public service.
