Hon. Melissa Moody

Melissa Moody is a judge of the Idaho 4th Judicial District, elected in 2018. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, a master’s degree from Penn State University, and a J.D. from Cornell University. Her legal career has included clerkship with former Idaho Supreme Court Justice Gerald Schroeder, service as a deputy prosecutor for Ada County, deputy attorney general in the Criminal Appellate Division, city prosecutor in Nampa, attorney general in the Civil Litigation Division, deputy attorney general of the Special Prosecutions Division, and a criminal law specialist role with the American Bar Association in Tbilisi, Georgia. She is licensed to practice law in Idaho.
