Hon. Prentis Edwards

Prentis Edwards Jr. is a Michigan judge currently serving on the 3rd Circuit Court. He previously served as a judge on the 36th District Court in Detroit, where he was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder in 2011 to fill a vacancy. Prior to his judicial appointments, Edwards worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Licensed to practice law in Michigan, Edwards has extensive experience in criminal law and judicial proceedings.
