He was elected to this position on <a href="/C2000#November" class="mw-redirect" title="C2000">November 7, 2000</a> (taking office the following <a href="/C2001#January" class="mw-redirect" title="C2001">January 1st</a>) and was re-elected in 2006 for a six-year term. <p>Servitto worked as a private practice lawyer for 11 years and is the former City Attorney of Warren, MI. Prior to his election to the circuit court in 2000, he worked as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Wisconsin and an Assistant Attorney General for Michigan.<sup id="cite_ref-bio_1-2" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-bio-1">[1]</a></sup>
