Hon. Somnath Chatterjee

Somnath Raj Chatterjee is a judge of the Superior Court of Alameda County in California, having been appointed in May 2017 and re-elected in March 2024. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara, followed by a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Prior to his judicial appointment, Chatterjee worked as an attorney and served as a deputy public defender.
