Hon. Verda Colvin

Verda M. Colvin is an associate justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia, appointed by Governor Brian Kemp on July 20, 2021. Prior to this appointment, she held numerous judicial positions, including a judge on the Georgia Court of Appeals and a Superior Court judge in the Macon Judicial Circuit. Her professional journey began as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, followed by roles as an Assistant District Attorney, Assistant General Counsel, and Assistant Solicitor. She has also served as a Judge of the Georgia Court of Appeals and an Associate Justice at the Supreme Court of Georgia.
