Hon. Barbara Halsey

Barbara Halsey serves as the Division 7 judge of the Second Judicial Circuit in Arkansas, a position she has held since 2007. Prior to her judicial appointment, she practiced family law and worked as a teacher. She was re-elected to the Second Circuit on May 20, 2014, for a term expiring in 2020. Halsey earned a Bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was admitted to the Arkansas bar in 1988. Her professional affiliations include the Arkansas Bar Association and the Arkansas Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program.
