Hon. Alan Triggs

Alan C. Triggs is a judge serving on the Hamilton County Municipal Court District 2 and the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Ohio. Born in Cincinnati in 1970, he earned a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Memphis in 1991 and a J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 1994, followed by an LLM in Business Law. Triggs has been licensed to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Georgia, as well as in the federal courts of Ohio and Colorado. His career began as an Assistant City of Cincinnati Prosecutor, after which he served as a Magistrate Judge in Municipal Court for 11 years and later as General Counsel for a private company for six years. In 2018 he was elected to the Hamilton County Municipal Court District 2, and in 2021 he was elected to the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas General Division. Triggs is known for his experience in both criminal and civil law and his commitment to fair and equitable outcomes in the judiciary.
