Hon. Melba D. Marsh

Melba D. Marsh has served as a judge on the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Ohio since 1996. She began her judicial career as a judge on the Hamilton County Municipal Court from 1989 to 1996, and prior to that served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office from 1977 to 1989. Marsh earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Mount Saint Joseph in 1974 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1977, after which she was admitted to the Ohio Bar. Over her career, she has received several honors, including the Roger Bacon Award (2005), the Ten Outstanding Young Americans award (1991), inclusion in Who's Who in Cincinnati (1989), and the YWCA Career Women of Achievement award (1987). She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Judges Association.
