Hon. Annie P. Claesson-Huseby

Annie Claesson-Huseby is a judge serving the Ninth Judicial District of Minnesota, having been appointed by Governor Mark Dayton on August 25, 2017 to a newly created judgeship created by the Minnesota Supreme Court to address the district’s heavy caseload. Prior to her judicial appointment, she served as the elected Beltrami County District Attorney, a position she held from 2014 until her appointment, after having worked in the county district attorney’s office for a decade. Claesson-Huseby earned a bachelor’s, master’s, and law degree from the University of North Dakota, and she is licensed to practice law in Minnesota. Her career highlights include her election as district attorney in 2014 and her appointment as a Ninth Judicial District judge in 2017.
