Hon. Jim F. Goodwin

Jim Goodwin is a judge of the Sullivan County Criminal Court in Tennessee's Second Judicial District. He was elected to the court on August 7, 2014, and began serving on September 1, 2014, with his term expiring in 2022. Goodwin earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1991 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphries School of Law in 1994. Prior to his judgeship, he served as an assistant district attorney for the Sullivan County District Attorney's Office and worked as a private practice attorney. Goodwin is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and has a professional focus on criminal law.
