<b>Beth Boniface</b> is a <a href="/Republican" class="mw-redirect" title="Republican">Republican</a> and the Part III judge for the <a href="/Third_circuit_court,_Tennessee" class="mw-redirect" title="Third circuit court, Tennessee">3rd Circuit Court</a> in <a href="/Tennessee" title="Tennessee">Tennessee</a>. The court presides over <a href="/Greene_County,_Tennessee_(Judicial)" title="Greene County, Tennessee (Judicial)">Greene</a>, <a href="/Hamblen_County,_Tennessee_(Judicial)" title="Hamblen County, Tennessee (Judicial)">Hamblen</a>, <a href="/Hancock_County,_Tennessee_(Judicial)" title="Hancock County, Tennessee (Judicial)">Hancock</a>, and <a href="/Hawkins_County,_Tennessee_(Judicial)" title="Hawkins County, Tennessee (Judicial)">Hawkins</a> counties.
</p><p>Boniface was appointed to the court by <a href="/Governor_of_Tennessee" title="Governor of Tennessee">Gov.</a> <a href="/Judges_appointed_by_Bill_Haslam" title="Judges appointed by Bill Haslam">Bill Haslam</a> (R) on April 14, 2015, to fill the vacancy created by the death of former Judge <a href="/Mike_Faulk" title="Mike Faulk">Mike Faulk</a>. Boniface won the partial term unopposed on August 4, 2016. She was elected to a six-year term. <p>Boniface received her undergraduate degree from Mary Washington University in 1991 and her <a href="/J.D." class="mw-redirect" title="J.D.">J.D.</a> from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1994.<sup id="cite_ref-bio_1-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-bio-1">[1]</a></sup>

<p>Boniface served as a magistrate for the <a href="/Hamblen_County_Juvenile_Court,_Tennessee" title="Hamblen County Juvenile Court, Tennessee">Hamblen County Juvenile Court</a> from 2010 to 2014.<sup id="cite_ref-bio_1-2" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-bio-1">[1]</a></sup> She also previously worked as an attorney in private practice in Morristown, <a href="/Tennessee" title="Tennessee">Tennessee</a>, specializing in family law and custody cases. From 2005 to 2008, Boniface was a partner at the law firm of <i>Shelton and Boniface</i>, in Morristown. From 2004 to 2005, she practiced in Knoxville, <a href="/Tennessee" title="Tennessee">Tennessee</a>, specializing in new business creation and special needs planning for the disabled.<sup id="cite_ref-bio_1-3" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-bio-1">[1]</a></sup>
