Hon. L. Elizabeth Brown

L. Elizabeth Lockhart Brown served as an associate district judge for Oklahoma’s 15th Judicial District, covering Adair County, from 2002 until her term expired on January 13, 2019. A graduate of Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s degree and a J.D. from Oklahoma City University (1997), she began her legal career in private practice before being appointed to the bench. Brown was re-elected in 2010 and again in 2014, the latter election unopposed, demonstrating sustained confidence in her judicial service. Her tenure on the court spanned nearly two decades, during which she presided over a broad range of civil and criminal matters within the district court system.
