Mark S. Switalski is a former judge of the 16th Circuit Court in Macomb County, Michigan, serving from 2000 to 2019. He was elected to the court on November 7, 2000, and served as Chief Judge from 2010 to 2012. Prior to his circuit court tenure, Switalski worked as a private practice lawyer from 1977 to 1988, served as a Magistrate of the 39th District Court (1983-1988), and was elected judge of the 39th District Court in 1988, where he served as chief judge from 1991 until his election to the circuit court. He earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1973 and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1976. Switalski was re-elected to the 16th Circuit Court in 2012 unopposed, and his term expired on January 1, 2019.
