Hon. Joseph M. Charter

Joseph Charter is a judge on the Jackson County Circuit Court in Oregon, having been elected to the position in May 2020. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law. With over 25 years of litigation experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts, Judge Charter has handled cases involving bankruptcy, real estate, employment, family law, commercial litigation, construction defects, personal injury, administrative, and probate matters. He is licensed to practice law in Oregon and serves the community through his judicial role.
