Hon. Eric L. Dahlin

Eric L. Dahlin is a judge serving Position 24 of the Oregon 4th Judicial District Circuit Court since his appointment in August 2016. He was re-elected in May 2022, securing 98.9% of the vote in the nonpartisan primary, and his current term will expire on January 1, 2029. Prior to his judicial service, Dahlin clerked for Hon. Procter Hug of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and spent nineteen years in private practice at Davis Wright Tremaine in Portland, Oregon. From 2007 to 2016 he also served as a pro tem judge and arbitrator for the Multnomah County Circuit Court. He earned a B.A. in economics from Grinnell College in 1989 and a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he was named Order of the Coif.
