Novotny</b> is a judge on the <a href="/Oregon_23rd_Judicial_District" title="Oregon 23rd Judicial District">23rd Judicial District</a> in <a href="/Oregon" title="Oregon">Oregon</a>. She was appointed by Governor <a href="/Judges_appointed_by_John_Kitzhaber" title="Judges appointed by John Kitzhaber">John Kitzhaber</a> in June 2011 and was re-elected in <a href="/C2012" class="mw-redirect" title="C2012">2012</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-pr_1-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-pr-1">[1]</a></sup><sup id="cite_ref-ref12_2-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-ref12-2">[2]</a></sup> Her current six-year term expires in January of 2019.<sup id="cite_ref-3" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-3">[3]</a></sup>
