About
Brett Loveless has served as a judge for Division III of the New Mexico 2nd Judicial District Court since his appointment in 2013. A University of New Mexico alumnus, he earned both his undergraduate degree and his J.D. from the same institution. Prior to his judicial tenure, Loveless worked as a district attorney. He was appointed by Governor Susana Martinez to fill a vacancy and has successfully retained his seat through subsequent elections, most recently in a 2020 retention election where he received 69.9% of the vote.
