Marc Hammer has served as a judge on the Brown County Circuit Court in Wisconsin since his appointment by Governor Jim Doyle in 2008. A University of Illinois alumnus (B.A., 1986) and a University of Missouri Law School graduate (J.D., 1989), Hammer brought nearly 15 years of private practice experience to the bench, having been a senior partner at the law firm Stellpflug, Janssen, Hammer, Kirschling, & Bartels, S.C. from 1994 to 2008. He was re-elected without opposition in 2015 for a term expiring in 2021. Hammer’s judicial service reflects a commitment to the Wisconsin legal community and a dedication to fair and impartial adjudication.
