Hon. J. Frank Porter

J. Frank Porter serves as a judge on the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida, overseeing cases in Charlotte County. He was appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush in December 2003 and has held the position since, with his current term set to expire in January 2019. Prior to his judicial service, Porter practiced civil law at a Lee County law firm for 16 years, after which he was appointed to the Lee County Court in 2001. He earned an A.A. from Edison Community College (1980), a B.S. in political science from East Tennessee State University (1982), and a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law (1985). In 2012, he was re-elected unopposed following the primary election.
