Judge Bernard J. Mulherin, Sr. was a distinguished jurist and community leader in Georgia. He earned his law degree from the University of Georgia, graduating Cum Laude. He served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, and later as a special agent with the FBI. Mulherin practiced law as a partner at Hull, Towill, Norman, Barrett & Johnson before being appointed as a Superior Court Judge of the Augusta Judicial Circuit in 1980. He was appointed Senior Judge for the State of Georgia Superior Court system in 1999. Mulherin was active in various community organizations, including the Knights of Columbus and the Boy’s Club of Augusta.
