Hon. Walker Egan

Egan Walker is a judge for Department 7 of the Nevada 2nd Judicial District Court, with his current term ending January 4, 2027. He earned a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1986 and a J.D. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1991. Walker served as a medic, flight medic, and nurse in the Army National Guard and Army Reserve from 1982 to 1990. After law school, he worked as a deputy district attorney in Carson City and Washoe County from 1992 to 2000, then practiced privately with a focus on litigation and family law. He served as a family court master from 2009 to 2011 before being appointed to the bench in 2011. Walker has been re-elected to the court in 2012, 2014, 2018, and 2020.
