<p>Cholack received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. He then earned his <a href="/J.D." class="mw-redirect" title="J.D.">J.D.</a> from Harvard Law School in 1990.<sup id="cite_ref-gov_1-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-gov-1">[1]</a></sup>
Cholack began his career as an intern at the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office. After law school, he was hired as an assistant prosecuting attorney of that office. He became a private practice lawyer in 1997 when he co-founded the law firm of Lange &amp; Cholack (which became Roumell, Lange &amp; Cholack PLLC). There he specialized in employment law, labor law, and mediation. He was appointed to the circuit court in December 2008.<sup id="cite_ref-candg_2-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-candg-2">[2]</a></sup>
