Hon. Mary Yunker

Mary Yunker is a Tenth Judicial District judge for Sherburne County, Minnesota. She was appointed to the bench in 2004 and has served as a judge since then, having been elected in 2006 and again in 2012 to a full term. Yunker earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 1977 and her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1980. She began her legal career as a staff attorney for the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington, D.C., and went on to serve as a law clerk for the 9th Judicial District, an assistant city attorney for Mankato, and assistant county attorneys for Scott and Stearns counties. In 2003 she became Chief Deputy Sherburne County Attorney before her appointment to the bench. She ran unopposed in the 2012 general election, receiving 99.14% of the vote.
