Hon. John Cajacob

John T. Cajacob has served as a judge on the Minnesota 3rd District Court Position 2 since his appointment by Governor Tim Pawlenty on May 13, 2010. He was elected to the seat in 2012, running unopposed in the general election and receiving 99.31% of the vote. Prior to his judicial service, Mr. Cajacob began his legal career in 1978 as an attorney with Loren Barta in New Prague, Minnesota. The following year he established a solo law practice in Faribault, where he worked until his appointment to the bench. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in 1974 and a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 1978. Mr. Cajacob’s professional experience spans private practice and judicial service, and he has been recognized for his contributions to the Minnesota judiciary.
