About
Rodney Hanson is a judge of the Minnesota 8th District Court, serving in Pope County. He was appointed to the bench on September 10, 2013 by Governor Mark Dayton following the retirement of Jon Stafsholt, and was elected unopposed in 2016. Prior to his judicial appointment, Hanson practiced civil litigation for 28 years and served as a partner at the law firm Anderson, Larson, Hanson & Saunders. He holds a bachelor's degree from Concordia College and a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. Hanson is also a qualified neutral arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
