Hon. Robert D. Herndon

Robert D. Herndon is a judge serving the Clackamas County Circuit Court in Oregon, within the 5th Judicial District. He has been a member of the court since 1997 and was elected presiding judge in 2011. Herndon was re-elected without opposition in the 2016 primary election, securing 98.66% of the vote. Prior to his judicial career, he practiced law as a partner at Hutchison, Hammond, Walsh, Herndon and Darling from 1986 to 1997, and as an associate and partner with Phil H. Ringle, Jr. from 1968 to 1986. He earned a B.S. in 1966 and a J.D. in 1968, both from the University of Oregon. Herndon is licensed to practice law in Oregon and has served the community for over four decades in both legal practice and judicial capacities.
