Hon. Dustin Hightower

Judge Dustin W. Hightower, a distinguished member of the Georgia State Bar, has served as a Superior Court Judge since his appointment by Governor Nathan Deal on May 26, 2016, and subsequent elections in 2018 and 2022. Prior to his judicial tenure, Judge Hightower practiced law with Miller & Hightower from 2008 to 2016, where he focused on personal injury, criminal defense, and divorce cases, and served as a trial lawyer handling complex civil and criminal matters. He also served as a city prosecutor for Mt. Zion and Buchanan from 2008 to 2014, managing criminal defense and litigation for local municipalities. In addition to his legal career, he represented the state as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 2012 to 2016, earning several awards for his legislative contributions and being recognized for his work in family violence prevention. Judge Hightower’s community involvement includes service on the Carroll County Child Advocacy Center Board, the Carrollton Main Street Board, and the University of West Georgia’s Athletic Foundation Board. He holds a Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management (cum laude) from the University of West Georgia.
