Isaacson</b> is a <a href="/Wisconsin_Circuit_Courts" title="Wisconsin Circuit Courts">circuit court</a> judge for the <a href="/Chippewa_County_Circuit_Court,_Wisconsin" title="Chippewa County Circuit Court, Wisconsin">Chippewa County Circuit Court</a> in <a href="/Chippewa_County,_Wisconsin_(Judicial)" title="Chippewa County, Wisconsin (Judicial)">Chippewa County</a>, <a href="/Wisconsin" title="Wisconsin">Wisconsin</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1">[1]</a></sup> He was elected to the position in 2009 to fill the vacancy left by Judge <a href="/Thomas_Sazama" title="Thomas Sazama">Thomas Sazama</a>'s retirement.<sup id="cite_ref-ch_2-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-ch-2">[2]</a></sup> Following the 2009 election, Isaacson was scheduled to take office on August 1, 2009, but due to an increasing backlog of cases, Gov. <a href="/Jim_Doyle" class="mw-redirect" title="Jim Doyle">Jim Doyle</a> appointed Isaacson to fill the vacancy on July 1, 2009.<sup id="cite_ref-3" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-3">[3]</a></sup><sup id="cite_ref-wew_4-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-wew-4">[4]</a></sup> He was re-elected in 2015 for a term that expires in 2021.<sup id="cite_ref-election2015_5-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-election2015-5">[5]</a></sup>
