Hon. Daniel R. Murphy

Daniel R. Murphy is a judge serving on the Linn County Circuit Court in Oregon, which falls within the 23rd Judicial District. He has been a Circuit Judge since 1994 and previously served as the Linn County Deputy District Attorney from 1988 to 1994. Prior to that, he practiced privately in Lebanon, Oregon from 1981 to 1988 and held local government positions, including membership on the Brownsville City Council and serving as a Municipal Judge in Brownsville. Murphy earned a Bachelor of Arts from Oregon State University and a Juris Doctor from Willamette College of Law. He was re-elected unopposed in the 2012 primary election, underscoring his standing in the community.
