About
Kris Davick-Halfen is a Seventh Judicial District judge serving Stearns County, Minnesota. Appointed to the bench in 2004, she has presided over the 7th Judicial District since then and was elected unopposed in 2012, with her term set to expire in January 2019. Prior to her judgeship, Davick-Halfen built a diverse legal career, beginning as an assistant Wadena County attorney and attorney at Peltoniemi, Johnson and Majors. She later served as an assistant Morrison County attorney, a child support magistrate, mediator, guardian ad litem, and independent hearing officer for the 7th Judicial District. She earned her B.A. from Concordia College in 1981 and her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1985.
