Richard R. Cooch is a seasoned jurist serving as a judge on the New Castle County Superior Court in Delaware, a position he has held since 1992. Prior to his judicial appointment, he practiced law with the firm Cooch and Taylor from 1981 to 1992 and served as Deputy Attorney General in the Delaware Department of Justice’s Criminal Division from 1974 to 1981. A graduate of Williams College (B.A., 1970) and the University of North Carolina School of Law (J.D., 1973), Judge Cooch has been actively involved in numerous legal associations, including the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court, the American Judicature Society, and the Center for Judicial Ethics.
