Hon. Fredericka Phillips

Judge Fredericka Phillips is a seasoned legal professional with over 25 years of experience. She served as a civil litigator for more than 17 years before becoming a judge. She was elected to the 61st District Court in November 2016 and sworn in on January 1, 2017. She is the first African American female judge for this court. Prior to her judicial career, she practiced law in state and federal courts across the U.S. She is a trained mediator and arbitrator.
