Hon. Thea A. Sherry

Thea A. Sherry is a former circuit court judge for Division 5 of the 21st Circuit Court in Missouri. Appointed by Governor Jay Nixon in 2011, she served until 2018, after previously serving as an associate circuit judge since 1998. Prior to her judicial career, Sherry spent 17 years in private practice and three years with the St. Louis County Public Defender's Office. She also teaches as an adjunct professor of law at Washington University School of Law. Sherry earned her B.A. in history from the University of California, Riverside, and her J.D. from Washington University in 1974. She has been active in several professional associations, including the Missouri Bar, the St. Louis County Bar, and the Supreme Court Family Court Committee.
